Mack Calhoun is a native of Griffin, Georgia. He attended Morris Brown College and graduated with a degree in accounting. Upon graduation, he accepted a position as an accountant with Marathon Oil Company in Ohio where he worked for several years. After a very cold Ohio winter, Mack, and his family, decided that it was time to move back to Atlanta. He subsequently began working as a frontline manager with the Department of Treasury. Later, Mack and his wife Karen were fortunate to form a partnership with two other Atlanta University Center alumni couples and friends to form Trinity, LLC. Whereby, they developed the Estates of Trinity Village subdivision in now Stonecrest, Georgia.

Mack enjoys the outdoors and can frequently be found riding horses with the South River Trail Cowboys off Klondike Road in DeKalb. He also enjoys hiking on the trails at Arabia Mountain and Stone Mountain Park. Prior to the pandemic, Mack would frequently work in TV and movie productions as either a background person or as a stand-in.

Mack also enjoys serving at his church as a servant leader and giving back to his DeKalb County community through New Birth’s King’s Table Ministry by providing groceries for families with food insecurities. Mack is keenly reminded of what Dr. King once stated, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?”
