Karyl Clayton

Karyl Clayton is a Construction Project Manager for the Clayton County SPLOST Program. She is a Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CRRP), who has provided leadership in the role as Superintendent of trades for City of Birmingham Parks and Recreation, Facility Manager for DeKalb County Park and Recreation, Construction Project Manager for City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation.

She currently serves as the Vice Chair for 2022 for the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee for the City of Stonecrest and was the previous Chair (2021). She also serves on the City of Forest Park Urban Design Board. She was honored with the 2010 Project of the Year for Earth Light Commercial - Chastain Tennis Center, which was a sustainability initiative. She was also honored with the 2012 Historic Preservation Award for Excellence in Restoration - Bitsy Grant Tennis Center.

She holds a Bachelors of Architecture degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She enjoys working with her church, Antioch Baptist North. She is a Gamma Sigma Sigma Sorority Member.
